Mikari Takeriya

Mikari is originally from Tokyo.

In the midst of studying music in LA, she discovered the greatness of her own Japanese pop culture by encountering fans in US, that was back in 2005. Since she has been making costumes and cosplaying with her husband Takeriya_Hagi.

Her cosplay activities have been:

then panel & perform at Anime Coventions and evens to share her own cultural experience and gift of music.

Almost always, you will be able to catch Mikari & Hagi's panels and cosplay performances in local conventions such as: Anime Los Angeles, Pacific Media Expo and Ronin Expo (many appreciation goes to these wonderful conventions!). Panel topics are Anime song/Japanese language, Kimono style cosplay, buying limited otaku items from Japan, and so on...

Their music performing is non-loud room music with piano and voice covering anime/game songs.

Masquerade & Mikari

Mikari's love towards creating costumes of her favorite characters has ended up bringing her in masquerade as a contestant, and then she has received more than dozen awards including Best of Shows in Anime Expo 2012(Umineko) and Fanime Con 2016(Sengoku Basara). Not only just entering, she has also hosted cosplay show case event, staffed as a masquerade department staff at an anime convention, also she has performed as half-time act, and done some judging, too. Her most recent masquerade related works were at Ronin-Expo 2022 as a masquerade half time performer & Anime Banzai 2022 as a masquerade judge.

Takeriya_Hagi is Mikari's exclusive cosplay model and a great helping hand for crafting. Together they went through many cosplay projects as such a strong cosplay unit.
